Overview
I’m from a small village situated in the West midlands of England, Herefordshire. Ever since I left home just before my 18th birthday I have been studying, guiding and training people in all kinds of outdoor activities. I have lived in many places throughout the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong and China.
I have created this website: Colours Of Discovery to display photos, Discuss my thoughts and ideas and to be the flag ship of a set of websites I’m creating about places in China. China, the 'Middle Kingdom' is vast and has so many unexplored places that have not been seen by outsiders. I’m creating a set of websites about places here that I think are particularly special. Some of them are places quite well known but most of them are off the beaten track and well away from the lonely planet or other travel guides. The Colours of Discovery Network will now be my project for the next few years at least. It will allow me to pursue my favourite activities in my favourite places and help the local communities develop their tourism.
