This was my first trip back to Fengshan since last summer. The weather was hot, only to be broken by short spells of rain. I was with a friend, Xiyangyang a competition climber and sports studies student from Chengdu. We traveled from Yangshuo vier Guilin and Heche arriving in Fengshan at about 7:00. We were met by my friend Jean from France who toke us to our hotel and then to dinner. Our first two days were spent traveling around, taking photos and looking at places to make new climbs. Jean lent me his drill and I found the bolts I had left in fengshan the year before.

One place in particular court our eye for making rock climbs. Shengndong the 3rd arch of San men hai. We spent the next 3 days there making a route about 30 meters high and sustained 7a. Then we had a rest day but left our quickdraws on the route. The day after we returned to try and red point it and take our equipment back but the local children had climbed up and taken our first 3 quickdraws. I was in a bad mood after that so we went back and did not climb any more.
I went to print some information for my Fengshan (www.fengshan.info) website and was given the printing for free. After that I went back and me and Xiyangyang watched videos on a laptop computer.
That was the end of our first trip in Fengshan. Now on to Baise and Lele and then back to fengshan for a few days work before returning to Yangshuo.
